On behalf of the North Carolina Community College Learning Resources Association, I would like to encourage you to become a member of LRA.  I know that many times funding is tight and you are unable to attend conferences; there are other reasons to join the organization.  This is the organization that allows all LRC employees to speak out for libraries.  This organization is the way in which we are able to share our mutual concerns and meet on some common ground.

Membership in LRA offers many benefits:

• Support of District, conference, and NCCCLRA expenses
• Staff development and training at reduced cost for LRA members
• Networking with community college library staff
• Scholarship and award opportunities

If you wish to have a voice, please join now and become involved.  Membership allows you to run for an elected office.  It means that you become part of a network of Library personnel who share common goals.
