The Thursday, March 29th date has been selected for the next District 2 meeting. The meeting will include a tour of the Seymour Johnson AFB, lunch, and business meeting (to be held at Wayne CC). Please RSVP to Patty Klimschot (pklimschot@jamessprunt.edu) by Tuesday, March 6 and include the following information: full name, drivers license information, date of birth, and the state that issued the drivers license. We need to supply this information 3 weeks before the tour to the base personnel. This means there can be no last minute adds or substitutions.Tour information:Everyone meets at the AMF Bowling Alley on Berkeley Blvd. and the Air Force bus picks us up there and brings us back after the tour.The tour will include a trip to the flight line where they will visit a working KC 135 tanker (refueler). The group will be divided into two sections. While one group tours the inside and speaks to the pilot, the other group will tour the outside with another crewman. Then they’ll switch. They will visit the missile load barn and will also see an F15Eagle (F15E).We have the option of eating at the chow hall or Simply Seymour which can cost between 3.99 and 8.99. I do not know the cost at the chow hall but it should not be expensive. We also have the option, of course, to eat off base after they drop us off at our cars.
