Each year, the North Carolina Community College Learning Resources Association seeks nominations for achievement, life membership and scholarship awards.

On behalf of the NCCCLRA Awards Committee, I would like to encourage all members to give a donation for scholarships. The donation is tax deductible.  Any amount will help. The Scottie W. Cox Memorial Scholarship and the Mertys Bell Scholarship, $400 each, are awarded to nominees who are taking course work in the library field toward a degree or for professional development. What better way to encourage our colleagues than to award scholarships for their efforts?

Making a donation is easy. Just add in your amount on the registration form for this year's conference. You will be given a receipt from the treasurer at the conference. Send in those nominations! There are a lot of deserving professionals and paraprofessionals out there.

The deadline for submitting applications is February 29, 2008.
